THE RISE OF AN EMPEROR, A LEADER, AN OBONGOWO AND THE GREATEST 001 #WESAWITALL
I have seen a man, who worked his way up from entirely nothing to something or should I say somebody…
From the days of his childhood, despite the lack, he had hopes and dreams. He forced his way up, and finally with the help of God, he is where he is today.
At the beginning, there was literally nothing. The struggles were real. Those were days where his Queen would trek hundreds of kilometres to work, despite a hectic day, she’d have to sell ice cream tied in a polythene bag to be able to afford the next meal for us. These were times when this man, now King, would find a spot in a stuffed 911, squeezed amongst traders and their goods just to commute to University for his postgraduate studies. Things were hard! Again, I saw it all!
(Wait a minute, Cheryl, did you say, “forced his way up?”) Well, I’ll show you what I saw him do in the stages I did see them.
THE PROCESS…
Firstly, I saw him being humble, that I believe I have also learned very well from him. You have probably heard him tell the story a few times. Of course, you didn’t imagine he was lying. I was there, I was born, I saw him stoop to conquer. A lecturer, yet a driver, a car washer and all forms of aid. He’d voluntarily do ALL of these and more for his boss.
The Bible says, “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble“. It also says, blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
Need I say more? I’ll continue…
Furthermore, he embraced Christ! Yeepee! Yes, I know. This should have been the number one point, but I didn’t see it happen that way. Remember I said I’ll tell you what I saw accordingly! He grew to be the first because God made it so. It is written, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” This became his reality.
Remember that Jesus was slain to receive power, glory, wisdom, strength, honour, riches and blessings. All that is presently his portion in Christ Jesus. Lemme not preach much. I’m sure you get the gist😉
Thirdly, even with the little he had, he gave. He gave his way up! up!! up!!! First to God, his family and then to the people around him… I barely forget that a lot of University students were living, being clothed and eating at no cost with us in those days. I also recall him paying fees of our neighbours who had lost their father untimely and also, I can’t forget him doing many other uncountable charitable works. Remember at this time, we had little. It taught me sacrifice. Till today, I see a man, who deeply sacrifices and who’s love extends abroad. Sacrifices both to God and man!
So, when you talk about giving, he’s number one, when you talk of service, he’s also there. Of course, you know that givers never lack and they that water shall also be watered.
Another point is, I’m sure you’ve heard or read that “he who walks with the wise will become wise…” Somehow God chose to favour this man and has given him wisdom, to understand times and seasons, to do his jobs the right way, be at the right places, with the right people and at the right time. That’s how it has been from then till tomorrow. His company is made up of the wise. He may be seen among fools, but it’s a purposeful act to learn not to be one
The last but definitely not the least that I’ve seen is that he takes charge. I’ve seen him take full responsibility as priest over everyone and every assignment God has given to him. I am assuming you know that by strength shall no man prevail for it is God that shows mercy and gives grace. This man is not just an emperor but a warrior, he wages war over the kingdom of darkness because He that is in him is greater!
He cannot afford to lose his government. He is undefeatable, immovable, unshakable and unbreakable. I have watched this man grow, from darkness to lightness, from penury to plenty, from grass to grace.
This man has taught me a lot!
If you didn’t know, now you know! Now you know how he worked, he is a force to be reckoned with. He’s my dad, I call him Darling Father. He is an emperor indeed, he is known by other names: Capacity, Leader, Obongowo, 001, One-man riot squad, EKOMOG, ATTRACTION….
Capacity has RISEN! Leader RULES!! and Obongowo REIGNS!!!
